Renovations!
We have a lot to be thankful for at Salem Crossroads Christian Care Centre. God has blessed us in abundance and, thanks to the generous donations of material labour, time and money, the main farm house has seen some major renovations.
We have to say a big; “Thank you!” to our supporters. Our roof, which used to have more holes than corrugated iron, has been completely repaired.
Carara Factory donated money towards the materials. Simon and Sonja Gunn of Alugutter supplied all the guttering material. Jon Lisher of Aquaflow did the rest. His helpful work men fitted the fascia boards and guttering and repaired all the leaks before priming and painting the entire roof. We are now a leak free zone!
But that is only the beginning. We have completely stripped, refitted and repainted the kitchen. Our kitchen team now has a work area that they can be proud of.
We have also been able to completely strip, retile and repaint our bathrooms. We have 3 new spotless toilets and 2 new showers supplied by a high pressure geyser.
We have James Shalto Douglas of Penny Pinchers/Buco and A.N. White to thank for his seemingly endless donations of tiles, tile cement and grout.
All our cracked and broken windows have been replaced. Tim Dold of P.G. Glass stepped in and donated putty, a glass cutter and glass to help us achieve this task. And the result is a home that we can be proud of.
There is still a lot of work for us to do, but we stand firm, trusting God that He will supply the rest of our needs.
I invite you to look at the before and after photographs to see the amazing difference in our home.
Thank you once more to everyone who’s support helped us to achieve this remarkable improvement.
